Bee Fit has been open in Cincinnati since 2013, owned and run the whole time by people who live here and train here. Two clubs now, same standard in both, and nobody's licensing fee folded into your rate.
Why we exist
A gym that earns your renewal every month.
The mission has not changed since 2013: a clean, convenient, 24-hour health club where members feel welcome, the equipment is genuinely good, and nobody has to sign anything they will regret.
National chains have to answer to franchisees and shareholders, and you feel it in the pricing, the contracts and the equipment budget. We answer to the people walking through the door. That means when a machine breaks it gets fixed, when members ask for something we can usually just do it, and when you want to leave you can leave.
Opening a second club was the first real test of that. The answer was to build Bridgetown as a real Bee Fit rather than a cheaper satellite. Same strength-floor standard, same hours, same prices. Your keyfob opens the club you join.

What we stand on
Four things we won't trade away.
Locally owned, not licensed
There is no franchise fee coming out of your monthly rate and no regional office setting policy. What you pay goes into equipment, staff and the buildings.
One price, everything open
We refuse to run bronze-silver-gold. Charging extra for the sauna you already walked past is a business model, not a service.
Open when you are
Third shift, 4am before work, 11pm after the kids are down. Members told us for years that hours were the thing that mattered most, so both clubs run 24/7.
Serious lifting welcome
Chalk, platforms, dropped deadlifts and loud effort are fine here. So is walking on a treadmill for twenty minutes. Both belong in the same building.
How we got here
Since 2013, one club at a time.

2013
A gym inside the Cincinnati Mall
Jeff Bovard opened Bee Fit on Cincinnati Mills Drive, in a mall most people had already written off. It ran 24 hours from the start, which almost nothing in Forest Park did at the time.

The mall years
Last ones with the lights on
Store by store the mall emptied out. Bee Fit kept filling up. By the end we were one of a handful of tenants left in the building, and members were driving past newer gyms to get to us.

The move
A building of our own on Kemper
When the mall finally closed for good we moved the club to 1192 W Kemper Road. More floor, better equipment, our own front door, and the same members who had followed us across the parking lot for a decade.

Now
A second club on the West Side
Green Township had no locally owned 24/7 club of this size. We took the long-vacant retail space at 5527 Bridgetown Road and built the full Bee Fit spec into it.
